Summer Fun with the Z's, Part 2
More photos from our recent trip to Washington D.C. and at Aunt Val's horse farm in Maryland.
Greg took the kids to see an original Norman Rockwell oil painting at the Smithsonian Museum in D.C.

Click on Richard Nixon's portrait to enlarge image and see the artist's beautiful detail.

Both kids had fun riding Aunt Val's horses and hanging out at a neighbor's beautiful 150 year old log cabin (below) in Maryland.

Our kids got to go behind the scenes at the Smithsonian and actually touch a real (millions-year old) T-Rex bone thanks to our good nephew, Yuri and his beautiful wife Pei-chi.

Summer Fun with the Z's
Our good friends and neighbors Dan and Cathleen relaxing on our deck.

Our daughter and Meg, one of her best friends having marshmallows on our backyard patio.

Our kids visiting with Steve and Eugenia, our best neighbors from our old house.

Greg with our son working on his skateboard. Above, our son caught a huge painted turtle in the neighborhood pond. Other misc. shots of us having fun, relaxing and enjoying the summer!

Annual Sausage and Horseradish Making Day!
A family tradition for more than 75 years! Enjoy the pictures and the fun!
Our whole family got together for the annual sausage and horseradish making day! The fun started at 6:30 a.m. and lasted well past 3:30 p.m. We made over 500 pounds of sausage!

After the sausage making was finished, family and friends tried to withstand the rigors (torture!) of making fresh horseradish! Only a few made it without crying!

Our friend Char (left) did the best!

Our son and daughter, brother Mike (even grandpa) had to cry!

Yes...even I had a tear or two!
